Dear Families,
We would like to share an important update about Big Top Musical Adventures.
After a lot of careful thought, we have decided to pause our work from 1 September 2026. This means that Big Top will not be running any sessions or projects during the 2026–2027 school year. We are sure that this will be disappointing news for many of you to hear.
Since 2014, we have had the privilege of working with children and young people in schools and communities, providing creative and inclusive music opportunities. We are incredibly proud of everything we have achieved together and grateful for the support we have received from families, schools, and partner organisations.
Over the past twelve years, education and SEND music provision have changed significantly. We feel this is the right time to take a break from delivering programmes so that we can reflect on the future of Big Top and consider how our work may develop in the years ahead.
All current projects and sessions will continue as planned until the end of the 2025-26 school year.
Thank you for being part of the Big Top journey. We have loved making music with so many wonderful children, young people, and families, and we appreciate your support over the years.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
WOLVERHAMPTON
In June 2026 Wolverhampton Music Hub said...
The Music Service and Wolverhampton City Council remain committed to providing inclusive music opportunities for children and young people from across the city. Funding is secure and discussions are progressing with a new provider.
The Music Service is taking time to ensure that this provider meets the essential specialist criteria needed for this work, but it is hoped that all existing work will remain in place and on the same day/ time as your current arrangements.
These updates will be provided to you when they are firmly in place. Part of the transition to a new provider includes sharing our current contact details for families working with us in partnership with the Music Service. You will receive updates by e mail and through the music service website.

SANDWELL
In June 2026 SIPS Music and Arts said...
We’re currently in conversations with the schools where Big Top Musical Adventure provision is currently taking place and with the practitioners delivering to put suitable continuity in place for all learners currently engaging as well as for new pupils who might attend in the new academic year.
We hope to able to share some positive information in the coming weeks.
